Camps feature five days of no-cost introductory and advanced cybersecurity training. Instruction is led by community college faculty and staff. Training modules developed by the CyberPatriot program cover a variety of topics including hacking prevention, system hardening, access control, and system protection. The five-day program ends with a team competition and awards. Introductory and Advanced Camps both are scheduled for this summer.

The Cyber Patriot Program and curriculum was started as collaborative effort of the Air Force Association and industry. Its goal is to continue to inspire students to pursue STEM related activities outside of the school year. Students attending an AFA CyberCamp will learn important skills in cyber safety and cybersecurity through a 20-hour curriculum that is designed to be completed over five days, with the fifth day serving as a day of mini-Competition. The camp simulates working as a team just like the CyberPatriot Defense Competition and students gain valuable cybersecurity skills that will pose them to create and join their own CyberPatriot teams for the upcoming Defense Competition season.
